Continuing my Kota Damansara Food Hunt, I recently stumbled upon a gem in Dataran Sunway – Ma Zi Pan Mee. This spot had me saying “OMG” from the moment I walked in. The menu boasted an impressive selection, making it a challenge to pick just one dish.
A Delectable Surprise: The Cantonese Mee Sen
Torn between options, I opted for the Cantonese Mee Sen, expecting a classic soupy noodle dish. But Ma Zi Pan Mee presented a delightful surprise! Their take was a fantastic twist on loh mee. Instead of thick wheat noodles, they used incredibly delicate and fine mee sen, almost like a luxurious take on yee mee.
The portion size was enough to leave me speechless. It was massive! And let me tell you, the flavors were incredible. Each bite was a symphony of textures and tastes.
Tiger Hit Lion: A Match Made in Flavor Heaven
To complement the amazing noodle dish, I ventured into the world of curiously named drinks and ordered the “Tiger Hit Lion” (老虎咬狮子). Intrigued, right? Well, this beverage turned out to be a revelation. It’s a perfect blend of coffee and Milo, creating a tastebud party unlike any other. Coffee lovers, Milo enthusiasts – this drink is for you!
Planning My Return Trip
Leaving Ma Zi Pan Mee, I almost felt the regret for not having a bigger appetite. So many other dishes on the menu called my name – Claypot Yee Mee, Claypot Lao Shu Fen, and of course, their classic Pan Mee … Soup, Dry Chilli or even Curry. One visit simply wasn’t enough!
I’m already plotting my return trip to conquer the rest of the menu. This place has serious potential to become my regular haunt in Kota Damansara. If you’re looking for a delicious and satisfying food adventure, Ma Zi Pan Mee is a must-try!
